Your Guide to the Niagara Region Festivals this Fall

As the weather turns colder, our minds turn towards indoor activities involving blankets and warm mugs. However, there are still a lot of things for you to do out and about in the Niagara Region this fall! Don’t start hibernating just yet, because we have a guide for Niagara Region Festivals this fall that you won’t want to miss.

Festival of Lights

Festival of Lights

Niagara Falls hosts its annual Festival of Lights from November 3rd to January 31st this year. Be sure not to miss out on the signature 8km long route that travels through the beautiful landscapes of the Niagara Parks, Dufferin Islands, and surrounding tourist districts, transforming the city into a gorgeous work of art. This is a treasured holiday tradition for people all around the world and is attended by over one million visitors each season!

Fall Harvest Festival

Make sure to catch The Country Christmas Store’s Creative Fall Harvest Festival this year! Open weekly from Thursday to Sunday running November 8th to December 16th, this venue prides itself on showcasing handmade/ handcrafted work from local artists , artisans, designers and crafters. This is the perfect place to find that “one of a kind” gift or art piece you’ve been looking for, while also supporting the local artisanal community.

Cascades of Fire

Cascades of Fire

This is the first time ever that Niagara Falls will be hosting the Cascades of Fire International Fireworks Competition! This event will be presented over six weekend nights in November, featuring 18 minute awe-inspiring pyrotechnic shows synchronized to music. You won’t want to miss out as we play host to presenters from China, Finland, Brazil, Vietnam, Italy. Of course, we also recommend you attend the special finale by Team Canada on November 18th and cheer on all the hard work.

Red Ribbon Art Show

Red Ribbon Art Show

Produced by the Sanctuary Centre for the Arts, this art show is a major fundraising event you should be sure to get in on. Featuring a wide array of art by local talent as well as up-and-coming high school artisans, this is a great way to support your community, donate to a worthy cause, and inspire the future artistic community in Fort Erie. Meet with friends and neighbours while perusing the pieces, and enjoying the refreshments, music, and cash bar provided!

It happens to all of us; that longing desire to cuddle up next to the fire as we make our way into winter is hard to avoid. However, with all the beautiful artistic expression going on around the Niagara Region, it would be a shame if you were to spend it all at home. From all of us at Marina Homes, do yourself a huge favour and get out to see everything this area offers!
